The morning of July 1 2019, AI Use Cases in Industries

On the morning of July 1st, Chen Xiangyu, IBM Senior Architect, gave a speech on AI use case in industries on Yuquan Compus. He introduced the application classification of AI technology and some classic AI application cases from IBM in the past years. He shared the latest achievements of the application of artificial intelligence technology by IBM (China) development center in the fields of finance, medical treatment, environment, food safety management, etc., and proposed some challenges in AI. In his speech, Chen Xiangyu discussed with overseas students the influence of AI on people’s work and life.

The afternoon of July 1 2019, Artificial Intelligence Lecture

On the afternoon of July 1st , Professor Fei Wu, vice president of the College of Computer Science, gave a keynote speech on New generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI2.0) as well as Its research in ZJU. In his speech, Professor Wu first introduced the basic form of traditional AI: from data t→ knowledge →action, explained the driving force of new-generation AI technology development, from the pursuit of machine intelligence to human brain machine hybrid-augmented intelligence, from focusing on individual intelligence to collective intelligence and from robots to autonomous unmanned system. It showed that the new-generation AI technology is significantly different from the traditional AI technology.
