School of Software Technology seeks cooperation at the World Industrial Design Conference

The 2nd World Industrial Design Conference was held in Mengqi Town, Hangzhou on April 21-28. Guests from more than 30 countries and regions and around 60 international design organizations attended the conference.


With the theme “Design and Ecology”, the conference aims to set up an international cooperation platform to promote design creation and harmonious development between economy and society. ZJU and local government of Yuhang District jointly planned the conference.

The conference received support from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province

Prof. CHEN Li and Prof. CAI Liang, both vice dean of ZJU’s School of Software Technology, chaired a session during the conference and exchanged ideas with prestigious design institutions around the globe to explore possibilities of international cooperation in education.

During the conference, ZJU’s School of Software Technology, University of Nottingham and China Industrial Design Association jointly signed a dual master's degree program, aiming to promote internationalization of education and its cooperation with the industry.
